Amid disturbances in Hazaribagh since some months which has magnified in last couple of days, a high level meeting of CM Raghubar Das, Union Civil Aviation Minister for State Jayant Sinha and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Chairman and Managing Director Gurdeep Singh took place on Wednesday. Das said after meeting that areas of major concerns were discussed during the meeting including rehabilitation of all displaced in the area.
Meetings organised by villagers during past couple of days and suggestions coming from them remained a major point of discussion during the meeting. Though details of the meetings were not divulged by officials, it was said that meeting remained positive.
CM also assured that issues regarding rehabilitation of coal mining labourers and suggestions made by NTPC would be discussed with local MP. On the other hand, NTPC also assured to come up with its suggestions after the company goes through suggestions of villagers.Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma, Additional Chief Secretary RK Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Amit Khare and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
