NPU introduces Modi's 'Start Up' in examinations

Published on:

Prime Minister Narender Modi on this Independence Day came up with Start Up India. The Jharkhand’s Palamu Nilamber Pitamber University took up this Start Up three days later. The NPU in its PG final and UG part two examinations, which began on August 18, showed this Start Up. Examineees, invigilators and students have hailed this.

The dull and dry examination halls/shed of one women's college called Yodh Singh Namdhari in Daltonganj showed the Start UP basic facilities that had been waiting for over the 10-15 years or more. Examinees used to wipe their perspiration after every five lines of writing in the examinations in the past.

Branded company’s ceiling fans, pedestal fans were put up for the examinees. The girls’ common room which till date had just one ceiling fan got two more now.

College electrician and a contract worker Sikander worked hard for this said her professor in charge Mohini Gupta.

As for the cold water in this humid rainy season with no rains around, the professor in charge of Mohini Gupta pressed for cold, filtered water jar in every examination room/hall/shed.

Examinees helped themselves with near chilled water. Steel glasses replaced the plastic ones.

The college is thankful to its VC AN Ojha and Professor VC Bijay Singh who  did their level best to sanction Rs 100,000 for this facility that came up during the examinations.

Bijay said the varsity strongly felt that this women's college needs immediate funding for upgradation of the facilities at this centre of examination.
