The non-teaching staffs of the state universities have decided to boycott Holi this year despite the fact that the state government has agreed to implement their demand for beginning sixth pay commission.
Shivji Tiwari, General Secretary of Jharkhand Universities and Colleges Employees Union said, “The state government has not fulfilled our all the demands including extension of retirement age from 60 to 62 years. State government has not provided us proper amount of our sixth pay commission.”
It is to be noticed, the students are facing hurdles in availing their degree certificates, university administration is working with difficulties in managing the office work and colleges are finding difficult in continuing their daily routine work.
“If the students are in trouble, we are not responsible. The state government should be blamed,” added Tiwari. The state government’s strict decision of ‘No Work, No Pay’ is also not working on these employees. All of them have planned to be on infinite strike unless their all the demands are not fulfilled.
