Two-day global summit of Netarhat Old Boys Association (NOBA) concluded today at CMPDI with sweet memories and a couple of resolutions to carry away. The Alumni body of Netarhat Residential School also organised a trip to Patratu Dam for enthusiast members and their kids at the day followed by a cultural event in the evening. Though a few apparent differences over a couple of issues among members tried to spoil the mood of the event for the time being, the members demonstrated their seasoned skills, not allowing those few sour occasions to overshadow the otherwise happier ones.
NOBA used the second day to discuss entrepreneurship and the way it could be encouraged. It picked up issues like Finance for IT and IT Start-Ups, Social Contribution of Retired NOBAites How to Take NOBA Forward among a few to discuss in presence of existing and aspirant entrepreneurs.
Speaking about IT Start-Ups, Kreatio Software (Bangluru) CEO Deepak Kumar said that he started more than half dozen of companies in last two decades and managed to turn at least two successful. “Finance is undoubtedly a major area of concern for any business. However, it comes in picture only at later stages. What matters before that is what kind of human resource is involved to take that start-up at later stages,” added Kumar.
The session was also addressed by IBM India Business Continuity Head Pradeep Prasad. The session widely addressed issues related to entrepreneurship in India and its importance in times like this. Experts of the session widely agreed over contribution of entrepreneurship to the overall GDP of a fast-paced developing country like India.
