latehar police grope in dark about the fate of Jayant Sao, an auto rickshaw driver , who was kidnapped on June 5. His auto rickshaw was recovered some days later from Sadar hospital Daltonganj lying unclaimed there. However Sao's whereabouts remains unknown and untraced.
DSP Barwadeeh in latehar district M S Jamooda confirmed the kidnapping of Sao, recovery of his auto rickshaw in Daltonganj and Sao's continued tracelessness till date. DSP Jamood too did not rule out fatality of Sao but said the body too has not been found and so to proclaim him to be murdered is not tenable in law he reiterated.
Jamooda said Manika police where this case of kidnapping has been registered carried out the execution of warrant of attachment of property against two prime accused Sushil alias Beerbal Oran and Ajit Sao on August 13.
Sushil is the husband of Babita mukhiya of Jonha panchayat under Manika police station. 'According to DSP Jamooda Manika police took away all house hold belongings of Sushil and Babita as there was also one warrant of attachment of property against Babita issued from Gumla court in some old criminal case against Babita which the Gumla police had sent to Manika police and the Manika police carried out the execution of two warrants one each against husband Sushil and wife Babita living together in one house the same day August 13!
Police sources said such a coincidence where attachment of property of wife is done side by side the attachment of property of the husband in the wake of two warrants issued from two different courts one from Gumla in the case of Babita and the other from latehar court in the case of Sushil here is most unheard of in police record..
Police sources said as the attachment of property has been carried out under orders of the two courts police ( Gumla and Manika) will have to present its list of seized belongings to these two court with exhibits
Jamooda clarified ' Gumla police did not come for execution of warrant against Babita here. But for the seized articles and for its exhibit in court in Gumla Gumla police will have to exert'. Jayant Sao was kidnapped as thre is the angle of illicit love said Jamooda. Jayant's was a kind of thorn in flesh for Ajit Sao.
Jamooda said police have verified the call details and one not named in the FIR of this kidnapping of Jayant Sao Balram Yadav too is on the radar of the Manika police. Jamooda said no attachment of Balram's household assets was done as he is not the FIR accused by name.
