BJP national general secretary Anil Jain reiterated that unruliness in the party will not be tolerated at any cost and directed to take cognizance of the controversial statement given by Agriculture Minister Randheer Singh. Jain, while holding a meeting with the State party officials in Ranchi on Friday during his three-day visit to the State, asked partymen to strengthen booth committees in the State as it was the most important part of an election.
The Agriculture Minister, addressing a gathering in his Assembly Constituency Sarath, had said that he will not appease the BJP rather the party will appease them as he has been working for the people and not for the party. Though Singh had asked people to switch off their mobile phones but someone made a video of his speech and made it viral on the social media.
“If someone has given such a statement, cognizance must be taken in this regard following which a decision will be taken at the party level over the course of action,” said the BJP General Secretary. Party will never tolerate any kind of indiscipline and action will be taken if anyone found indulged in such activities, he added.
Remarkably, State BJP President laxman Gilua on Monday tried to downplay the issue saying that the minister has already has given explanation before the Chief Minister and him in this regard hence the matter should be closed down.
Referring to the disqualification of 20 AAP MlA’s in Delhi, Jain said though they have come into power by appeasing people through movements, but anarchy was in the blood of the AAP leaders hence they can even abuse the constitutional arrangement and make allegations on it.
“What could be expected from the party having 20 MlAs accused of having ‘office of profitIJ’ People of Delhi know well what sort of people they have elected,” said Jain. The BJP General Secretary also said that since booth was the most important part for winning elections, he has asked the party officials to strengthen the booth committees. Earlier, inclined with BJP’s policies and development oriented works, Dumka District Council President Amita Rakshit and senior social activist Sandeep Verma joined the party on Monday in presence of party President and other senior leaders at BJP Headquarters in Ranchi. “I am fortunate that all the members in my family have been connected with the policies of the party and I am lucky that I have been inducted into the party on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami,” said the newly inducted party leader Sandeep Verma. He said that he will serve the party with dedication.
