The residents of Jharkhand will continue to face heat as the increase in humidity in the entire State could be because of the moisture content in the clouds.
The maximum relative humidity in Ranchi on May 28 was 63 per cent where as the minimum was 17 per cent. Jamshedpur had 67 per cent maximum relative humidity where as Bokaro had 35 per cent. Daltonganj was recorded at 55 per cent and Chaibasa at 57 per cent.
“Due to the sky being partly cloudy and chances of rain as the clouds are approaching this side, the increase in humidity could be because of the moisture content in the clouds. As per the behavior of the atmospheric parameter, there are chances of some rain,” said Sumit Kumar, scientific assistant at the MET Observatory Centre Ranchi.
According to the weather bulletin released on May 28 by the MET Observatory Centre Ranchi, the maximum temperature in the State capital was recorded at 41.2 degree Celsius which is 4.5 degree above normal where as the minimum temperature was 2.4 degree above normal at 26.5 degree Celsius.
“For the next four days May 29 to June1, the sky will be partly cloudy with a possibility of development of thunder and lightning in the capital city,” Kumar further added.
In Daltonganj and Chaibasa, the maximum temperature was 4.1 and 4.4 degrees Celsius above normal at 45 degree and 42.6 degree Celsius respectively. The minimum temperature for these cities was 28.6 degree Celsius which is 1.6 degree above normal and 26 degree Celsius respectively. Bokaro was 2.4 degree above normal at 43.1 degree Celsius where as Jamshedpur was 3.3 degree normal at 41.8 degree Celsius.
“In Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Deoghar, Dumka and Giridih till June 1 the sky will remain partly cloudy with a possibility of rain and thunderstorms. Daltonganj and Bokaro will be the same as Ranchi,” said the assistant.
