No need to probe RS horse-trading charges, says Shahnawaz

BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain on Saturday said that there is no need of any investigation into charges of horse-trading during the last Rajya Sabha elections, levelled by the Opposition against Chief Minister Raghubar Das. He called the entire Opposition an agenda-starved side.

Hussain said that even Opposition knew the truth behind these baseless charges; hence it was trying to have at least one agenda for some time. “They can’t point fingers on the way the Government is taking Jharkhand to the path of development. They are well aware of the facts about RS polls, and they also know that their charges are completely baseless. So, I don’t think there is any need of investigation of these charges,” he said.

Focusing on the next Assembly elections in UP, Hussain pointed fingers, primarily at the BSP and the Congress saying that some parties were running severely short of agenda; hence they indulged in activities which were challenging the social fabric and harmony in the society. He accused Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and AAP convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of provoking, encouraging and nurturing a dangerous trend of political tourism in BJP-ruled States.

“Both (Gandhi and Kejriwal) can’t see anything other than Gujarat. They can’t see rape and murder of a minor girl in Kerala; they can’t go to Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga in Bihar where dalits

No need to probe RS horse-trading charges, says Shahnawaz have been tortured inhumanly as recently as yesterday, because those are not BJP-ruled states. If Sharad Yadav (JD-U) could have diverted his destination from Una in Gujarat which he startedon Saturday to Muzaffarpur or Darbhanga, we might have had a glimpse of a seasoned politician in him. But the entire opposition is short sighted and can’t bear the development of country under strong leadership of Narendra Modi.”

Hussain added that whatever was uttered against BSP chief Mayawati by one of BJP leaders in UP was not acceptable and that the leader was forced to feel the heat immediately. But the way BSP and its chief counter-attacked and words it exchanged were sheer shameful. “Whatever Dayashanker Singh said was not acceptable. Party took immediate action against him. But after-events and expressions by Mayawati and many other leaders of her party were more shameless,” said Hussain, adding that abusing mother, wife and innocent 12 -year daughter of Singh was against humanity.

Commenting on ongoing unrest in Kashmir, Hussain said that Pakistan remained at receiving end from the day Modi took charge as PM. “Pak PM Nawaz Sharif has been conveyed the message from India ‘properly’ that their daydreaming of getting Kashmir would only result in them going back from Pak Occupied Kashmir,” said Hussain. He also denied charges that the arms of Indian Army have been twisted by government at the Centre as far as replying to the stones by Kashmiri youth is concerned. He said that the army occupies powers of its own and is completely free to use it within its domain.
