This year Eid-Milad-Ul-Nabi is to be celebrated in a different way. On January 14 they will celebrate the birthday of Prophet Mohammad and like previous year’s Julus-E-Mohammadi will be the main attraction but differently.

A meeting of some of the most eminent personalities — both of town and adjacent villages — were conducted in Jama Masjid, Hazaribagh, under the chairmanship of Secretary Gulam Moinuddin Ahmed. In this meeting several important decisions were taken regarding the celebration of Eid-Milad-Ul-Nabi.

It was decided unanimously that there will be strict ban on the use of DJ’s in Julus-E-Mohammadi this year. The participants will have to play only Nat-Sharif (devotional songs). Use of any other type of CD will remain prohibited and religious slogans will be a part of Julus-E-Mohammadi. Religious flags will not be hanged on public places; if anybody wants he can raise it on his private building.

It was also decided that on January 14 at 10 am the Julus-E-Mohammadi will start from Jama Masjid under the leadership of Pesh Imam-cum-Town Kaji Hafijkari Maulana Yunus Faiji. After travelling different localities of the town it will be back to Jama Masjid at 3:30 pm.

For successful organisation of entire programme a committee was formed in the meeting. Haji Gulam Moinuddin Ahmed and Maulana Jabir Hussain were made patrons while Maulana Haji Yunus Faiji has been made President. Md Shakil Bihari will discharge the duties of Secretary while Maulana Abdul Hakim will act as vice-president and Md Sajid as joint secretary.

The decisions was taken by the eminent personalities and has been widely welcomed by everyone. The denizens of Hazaribagh said that if they succeed in implementing the decisions they have taken then certainly it will make others to rethink on their Ramnavmi and other festivals. The denizens said that these decisions have come as a ray of hope that can erase the black spot from the face of Hazaribagh of being communally sensitive.
