With several party leaders switching over to the BJP, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) chief Babulal Marandi on Saturday said that no decision has been taken on poll alliance about the forthcoming State Assembly elections.
Terming switching over of some MlAs to BJP as not a ‘big event’, Marandi said that the decision over the alliance will be taken at an appropriate time only. He said that the party is eyeing to contest on all the seats of the State but a final decision is yet to be taken. “Though we had alliance with the Congress in last Assembly polls but as of now we not decided on our pre poll alliances ,” he claimed.
"We have not decided anything on the alliance. It is too early to comment on our strategy. Moreover, I am not disappointed over the decision of some of party legislators switching over to BJP but I am surprised to see the moral collapse of BJP to grab JVM leaders just to regain power in the State.
The former Chief Minister, was in the Steel City to take part in a function organized to mark the World Indigenous Day at Gopal Maidan. JVM leaders Bokaro MlA Samresh Singh, Simaria’s Jai Prakash Singh Bhokta, Jamua’s Chandrika Mahtha and Giridih’s Nirbhaya Kumar Shatabdi have left the party last month and several are following the suit.
Answering the queries from the media, Marandi also alleged that BJP was adopting unethical means to grab JVM leaders by offering them money. He also said the politicians of several national as well as regional parties sitting in New Delhi were robbing the people of the state of their hard earned money. He further went on to add that the Government so far has failed to take any steps to curb corruption or bring welfare projects on track. We do not expect much from the Government. Moreover the people have seen the prior reigns of Arjun Munda. Even then he failed to work for the development of the State.
