Members of the district board have since long been making allegations on Chairman Mahesh Rai for acting on personal whims.
The Chairman was facing a no-confidence motion moved last month by four members through DC Praveen Shankar Koderma. Presence of 15 being 3/4th of total strength is required to form a quorum to proceed with the motion. Except chairman, all present entitled to vote if voted at least three forth in favour of the motion the chairman would stand ousted.
However, only eight members turned up to attend the meeting duly convened by the DC. DC was supposed to chair the meeting so convened. Overjoyed supporters of Rai enthused with the want of quorum drenched one another in splash of Holi colours and the otherwise tense atmosphere turned into a celebration.
