No can stop Ram temple construction in Ayodhya: Rajnath

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday once again asserted that no power could get in way of construction of ‘grand’ Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Rajnath addressing a public meeting in support of BJP candidate and health minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi at Pandu under Bishrampur Assembly segment, amid slogans of “Jai Shri Ram” said, “A grand temple will be built in Ramjanambhoomi, the site where Lord Rama was born and no power in world can stop this from happening.” He said, “BJP is the only political party in the country which has no difference in its action and promise. BJP has always advocated for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya either though dialogue or through Court. We are happy that Court has delivered its verdict for construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.”

Rajnath’s remark on construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya assumes significance as last week, BJP national president Amit Shah addressing a rally at Manika (Latehar) had accused the Congress of stalling the Ram temple case in Supreme Court. Shah had said that with the blessings of Lord Ram the Supreme Court has cleared the way for the construction of a grand Ram temple. Interestingly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too while speaking  in his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’  on Sunday has welcomed the decision of Supreme Court on Ayodhya case.

Rajnath who held the Union Home ministry in Modi Government, also talked about the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (A) of constitution which granted special status to Jammu & Kashmir.

He said, “The abolition of Article 370 from Kashmir has remained the election manifesto of BJP since its Jan Sangh era. Dr Syma Prasad Mookerjee (founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the predecessor to the BJP) had always advocated that there cannot be two Constitutions, two prime ministers and two flags in one country.

We have fulfilled his dream and lived up to the promise made in our poll manifesto.” Rajnath who had served as BJP national president twice, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government was successful in solving these pending issues (Ayodhya, Article 370 and Triple Talaq) as people of the  country reposing faith on Narendra Modi has helped in making strong and stable government for second term.

Rajnath highlighting the achievements of Chief Minister Raghubar Das Government said that Raghubar has created a history in giving a stable Government which had completed its tenure. Earlier, Jharkhand since its inception has given Governments which have failed to complete its full term.

Rajnath heaping praise on CM congratulated Das for initiating welfare schemes such as provision of double cylinders to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana, providing benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana to nearly .5 lakh people in state among others.

Apart from Rajnath, BJP star campaigners including Union Textile Minister Smriti Iraniand actor turn politician and Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan addressed public meetings in support of BJP candidates at Chatarpur, Ranka and Mahuadand respectively.

Thirteen constituencies including nine assembly segment under Palamu division are going to polls in first phase scheduled on November 30.
