No breakthrough has been achieved in the murder of one Soma Purti (38) whose body was found on the railway track near the East cabin of the Daltonganj railway station couple of days back. The murder was done elsewhere but the body of the passenger having a ticket for Gaya was thrown on the railway track to make it a run over by trains.
However the driver of the Delhi bound Sarwna Jayanti Express train when saw a man lying on the tracks on March 3 just pulled the brake and waited police and officials to reach on the spot and in the process frustrated the designs of the killers of this man to make it a case of run over by train.
The RPF Inspector Pankaj Kumar said the criminals who killed Purti did try hard to make it either a case of accident on railway track or a case of run over but the sensible driver of the express train of Ranchi Delhi SJ Express train aborted the plan.
This train halted near the East cabin for little over 20 minutes.
The officer in charge of the GRP Daltonganj Vijay Singh said an FIR has been drawn against the unidentified person. Purti hailed from Nawadeeh village under Ramgarh police station in Palamu.
The GRP official said on search an Adhar Card of Purti was found on his person and that led to his identification. A diary too recovered from his body helped the GRP much with which Purti’s father was called in.
Although the incident is of March 3 the police are clueless as to why this killing was done of a passenger leaving for Gaya as the ticket that was recovered showed it said the RPF inspector.
