The State Cabinet on Tuesday gave its approval not to give 3 per cent reservation to the physically challenged people in appointment of police personnel and officers. There are 17 types of posts in this category, including Constables and ASIs.
The Cabinet also gave its approval to the new manual prepared for the appointment of 10,000 policemen on contract basis in the 12 Naxal-infested areas of Jharkhand.
The Cabinet also Okayed administrative approval of `110.38 crore for the construction of 7 higher education colleges in Jharkhand.
In another decision, the cabinet gave its approval of `86 crore for the construction of a dairy plant in Deoghar and Palamu of 50,000 liter milk per day each and Milk Product Unit of 10,000 liter per day at Hotwar in Ranchi.
