Rapid growth of diabetes cases has put an alarming situation not only in Jharkhand but across the world, feels the civil society. “Incidence of diabetes are escalating day-by-day. In the next couple of years the numbers of diabetics in the country would be double,” said Dr TM Singh while addressing to a meet organised by Nirogyan— an NGO at Asha lata Kendra Sector 5 in Bokaro on Monday.
Address to the meet Singh said, the percentage of youngsters becoming diabetic is also going to exceed in next couple of years. “A major cause of diabetes is sedentary life style and fast food. It can be controlled by taking proper diet, exercise and a healthy life style”, he added. In a bid to control and minimize this speedy spreading disease the organization will organise an awareness camp on 3 May at Bokaro.
