The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has begun a probe into the deaths of at least five people in a bomb blast at Habibi Nagar during Ram Navami festival. The team is led by a senior forensic expert AP Malya and a DSP-rank officer.
Veteran BJP leader Yashwant Sinha had sought a probe into the terror link of the blasts, which allegedly occurred when they were making bombs.
The team members visited the blast site and collected evidence from the site and adjoining areas. They found some boxes, strings and other things from the site. The members of the team also visited the graveyard in search of some evidence. At the time of filing of the report, the team members were interrogating the injured accused Ejazul Ansari, who was arrested on Tuesday from Marhetta Village of Muffasil PS.
Ejazul Ansari, aged about 30 years is son of Alizan Ansari of Ansari Nagar Hazaribagh. He was hiding in his in-laws' house there and was getting medical treatment. Police have kept him in the prisoner's ward of Sadar Hospital.
On Monday, the team of doctors constituted by the Civil Surgeon for post-mortem of the exhumed dead bodies found it difficult because the bodies were badly decomposed. So, the bodies were sent to RIMS Ranchi for post-mortem late in the night. The bodies were brought back to Hazaribagh after post-mortem and handed over to Murda Kalyan Samiti. The relatives are still waiting for the order of the district administration to get the bodies.
Now everyone is eagerly waiting for the arrest of Entezar Khan, the mastermind of the whole episode. According to the FIR lodged with the police, the previously arrested accused Entezar Khan has identified himself as Bhaijaan whose address is in front of Maruti showroom Jullu Park Hazaribagh. Regular raids are going on at all the possible hideouts of the main accused.
DIG, Hazaribagh Range, Upendra Kumar said, “We are waiting for the report of forensic science laboratory because it is now almost clear that it was not a petrol bomb blast. Police are also searching for the doctors and compounders who provided medical aid to the accused of the bomb blasts.”
