The three-day PACS ‘Inclusion Utsav’ in Ranchi concluded on Thursday where the work done by PACS in remote areas of Jharkhand was showcased and assessed by Government functionaries, members of civil society organisations that have partnered with PACS and influential voices in the State.
Speaking on the occasion, labour Minister Raj Paliwar stated, “Organisations like PACS work as a bridge between the socially excluded groups and the service providers. The work done by civil society under PACS has been commendable; they reached out to the masses in areas which are hard to reach. Organisations who work for the betterment of the public will be rewarded, but those who use public service as a front to make money will be penalised.”
Mamta Kohli, Senior Social Development Advisor, DFID said that leadership amongst the youth should be nurtured who have the potential to contribute immensely in the rural sector.
