1200 bottles of unrecognized water seized
A special drive has been started by East Central Railway to check unrecognized packaged drinking water and other food-related irregularities in the pantry car and other catering units of the train. In this sequence, surprise check of Pantry car of 15228 Muzaffarpur - Yesvantpur Express was done on 12.09.2022 at Barauni station. In this investigation, 660 bottles of packaged drinking water of unrecognized brands kept in 55 cartoons were seized, which were later destroyed. Next day on 13.09.2022 130 bottles of unrecognized brands kept in 11 cartoons and illegally in 12142 Patliputra-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express on 15.09.2022 in surprise inspection of pantrycar of 11062 Darbhanga-Lok Manya Tilak Terminus Pawan Express at Hajipur Unrecognized 336 bottles of packaged drinking water kept in 28 cartoons were confiscated. Similarly, in 15705 Champaran Humsafar Express, 72 bottles of unrecognized packaged drinking water, kept in 06 cartoons, were confiscated on 15th September.
Cleanliness fortnight begins in RRD
Swachhta Pakhwada (Cleanliness Fortnight) is being celebrated from 16-09-2022 to 02-10-2022 in Ranchi Railway Division. Divisional Railway Manager Pradeep Gupta administered the oath of cleanliness to the railway officers and employees on the premises of the divisional office. The oath was taken by Additional Divisional Railway Manager Manish Kumar, Chief Project Manager (Gatishakti Unit) Satish Kumar, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Manik Shankar, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (TRD) AR Das, all the officers and employees present and Cleanliness oath was taken by the employees in all the stations, office premises of Ranchi Railway Division and a pledge was taken to keep the railway premises clean as well.
