After a gap of more than 8 months the office of the chancellor of the State has notified the names of Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University. Prof. Sardar Gurdeep Singh of ISM Dhanbad will take the charge of the Vice-Chancellor, while Dr. Akhouri Pramod Krishna, present registrar of BIT, Mesra Ranchi, will take over as Pro Vice-Chancellor in VBU. On Thursday morning, the Pioneer talked with both the designated Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Cahancellor of Vinoba Bhave University. From there talks it appears that both VC and PVC will take over the charge on Monday, May 12. Designated VC Prof. Sardar Gurdeep Singh is presently the professor in the department of environmental science of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. Talking to the Pioneer he informed that he has done his schooling and higher studies at Delhi while had completed his research work in America. When asked to designated Pro VC Dr. Akhouri Pramod Krishna said that “I am in Delhi, before joining I will have to go through some formalities, then I will come to Hazaribagh to take the charge.
