Dhanbad district administration has adopted a news system of housing Covid patients henceforth in the district. Under the new system the newly set up dedicated Covid hospitals in different blocks would cater to the patients of blocks, in which they are operational besides select neighbouring blocks.
Dhanbad deputy commissioner Uma Shankar Singh on Saturday issued fresh instructions on this issue and now the Covid hospital at Central Hospital and PMCH would be open only for all critical patients .The Sadar hospital Covid centre first would cater to patients of Dhanbad block patients and if beds remain empty than to that of Topchanchi block.
BCCL Bhuli hospital would cater to Jharia and Baghmara blocks,Nirsa polytechnic building Covid centre for Nirsa, Agyarkund and Kalisol blocks besides Tundi and Eastern Tundi blocks , Tata Jamadoba hospital for Jharia and Baliapur blocks and railway regional institute- Bhuli Covid centre for Dhanbad and Baghmara blocks .
The SSLNT women's hospital would cater exclusively to pregnant women patients. Incident Commanders have been directed to ensure that a new format of admitting patients is followed.
This would help in minimizing the transportation time of patients to hospitals, said the DC.
