New SP, Palamu, Chandon Kumar Sinha had a ‘teaser’ for the Satbarwa police station today. He went there masquerading as an ordinary man complaining he had been robbed of his cell phone and cash worth 5,000 near Bakouriya at gunpoint on the national highway 75.
Karam Pal Naag the officer in charge of the Satbarwa police station said the man presented himself as a victim of the NH robbery. Naag said he immediately took the man to the crime scene and inspected it in all seriousness.
The man was again asked to revisit Satbarwa police station to lodge a written complaint. From here Naag said the things began to unfold slowly.
The man said he has neither pen nor paper with him to write his complaint. He looked cool calm and composed.
Naag said this made him to doubt him as if a man who has been so looted in daylight on the NH the man couldn’t afford to be so at peace with himself.
Naag said he took out a photo of Chandon Kumar Sinha on his cell phone and matched it with this man and it was a hundred percent matching.
It was now a time to salute with Jai Hind. The man responded to it with Jai Hind.
Naag said the SP Palamu then told him that he just wanted to see how such an important police station on the NH behaves and reacts to situation like this and how a victim is taken care of.
Naag was happy to have passed the test well. The new SP Palamu appreciated this police officer and his team.
Later the man SP Palamu Chandon Kr Sinha took guard of honour in Daltonganj.
ASP operation K Vijay Shankar and two other sub divisional police officers including Surjit Kumar were in attendance during the guard of honour ceremony.
