Koderma district has got its 7th police station on Friday as Nawalshahi Police Station in the newly constructed building was inaugurated by State Water Resource Minister Annpurna Devi.
The new police station is situated on the Koderma Giridih Road near Bariyardih forest. Addressing the gathering on the occasion Minister highlighted the importance of a police station, and hoped that it would control crimes in this area specially for the pilgrims to Deoghar and Vasukinath via Domachanch who are soft target for chain snatchers. Having got this new police station the residents of nine panchayats will get benefit as from now they would not have to travel along distance to reach Markachcho PS, she added. She expected the office in-charge to remain fair and honest with people handling matters and also appealed the locals to help the police to control the crimes in their locality. Annpurna Devi distributed sarees among the villagers. Sangita Kumari SP, K Ravi Kumar, DC, Hari lal Yadav Dy SP and all PS in-charge, Ramdhan Yadav district board member, Shalini Gupta Domchanch Pramukh were present at the moment.
