After about 4-5 hours long suspense packed drama finally the new civil surgeon of Hazaribagh Dr RS Vandana assumed the charge of her office.
As per the notification issued by Jharkhand government Dr Vandana reached CS office in the morning at about 10:30 am to take charge of the office from outgoing CS Dr. Dharamveer. Office staffs informed Dr. Dharamveer about her arrival. After an hour he arrived and refused to hand over the charge to her saying that I have not received any such letter till now.
Dr Vandana showed him the letter issued by Jharkhand government but he refused to entertain saying that he will obey it only after getting its copy officially. After long argument finally Dr. Vandana left the office and went directly to Deputy Commissioner’s office.
After going through the letter of Jharkhand government DC Mukesh Kumar directed the civil surgeon office and outgoing civil surgeon to hand over her the charge. Dr. Vandana then came back to CS office but again Dr. Dharamveer refused to obey the instruction of DC and left the office.
Then finally in the evening at about 3:30 pm Dr. Vandana herself assumed the charge of the office of civil surgeon Hazaribagh and sent information to DC office and health ministry of Jharkhand. Dr. RS Vandana is a well-known Gynecologist of Hazaribagh serving the people here since last more than two decades.
