New Executive Director (Personnel and Administration) of BSL, Swarup Sameer assumed his charge on June 2. Sameer was earlier posted as Chief General Manager (P & A) in the Central Marketing Organization of SAIL.
Sameer started his career in SAIL in June 1991 as Management Trainee (Administration) from Alloy Steel Plant, Durgapur. He spent the first twelve years of his career in the Personnel Department at Alloy Steel Plant, Durgapur. Thereafter he was transferred to the Vigilance Department in SAIL Corporate Office, Delhi. In the year 2010, he again returned to the Personnel Department at the level of Assistant General Manager in the Corporate Office itself. In June 2017, Mr. Sameer was promoted to the post of General Manager and was entrusted with the responsibility of the Central Marketing Organization. In the year 2019, he was re-designated and made Chief General Manager (Personnel), CMO and since then he was holding the responsibility of this important post. Sameer has a long experience of working in the Personnel Department. Under his guidance, the Department of Personnel and Administration of BSL will touch new heights.
