: In an inspiring tale of perseverance and grit, Rohit Kumar, a resident of Jamshedpur born into a modest family, has achieved what many only dare to dream. Scoring 549 marks in NEET 2025 and securing an All India Rank ( AIR) of 12,484, Rohit overcame financial hardship, family responsibilities, and personal struggles to move a step closer to his dream of becoming a doctor.

Son of a vegetable vendor and a homemaker, Rohit’s early years were marked by simplicity and sacrifice. He studied at a local government school where the annual fee was just ₹800. After passing his Class 10 examination, Rohit began working at a medical store during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was here that his ambition to pursue a career in medicine took root.

Encouraged and informed by his elder brother, Rohit appeared for NEET for the first time and scored 485 marks. But instead of being disheartened, he chose to fight harder. Enrolling in Physicswala's free 'Yakeen 2.0' batch, he began preparing with unmatched dedication—spending 14 hours daily at a local library, often studying late into the night.

His journey wasn’t without hurdles. From battling illness to suffering a bee sting on his hand on the day of the NEET exam, Rohit faced moments that could break anyone’s spirit. But his resolve never wavered.

Recognizing this unwavering determination, Alakh Pandey, Founder and CEO of Physicswala (PW), personally visited Jamshedpur on Saturday to honour Rohit. At a small felicitation event, Pandey said, “Rohit has proved that no matter the circumstances, passion and hard work will always find a way. Physicswala was created for students like him—those with dreams and the courage to chase them.”

Rohit, visibly emotional during the ceremony, credited his family and mentor for the milestone. “Had it not been for Alakh Sir and my brother, I wouldn’t be here today. This is not just my success—this is the victory of every member of my family who struggled alongside me.”

The young achiever also shared his aspiration to serve underprivileged communities as a doctor and motivate students from economically weaker backgrounds to never give up.

Rohit's story is now echoing across the streets of Jamshedpur—reminding every child from humble beginnings that dreams are valid, and with perseverance, anything is possible.
