BJP State president Ravindra Rai, in presence of AJSU chief Sudesh Mahto, Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Chandra Prakash Chaudhary and lok Jantantrik Party state chief Babban Gupta on Sunday, officially announced Neeru Shanti Bhagat’s candidature for lohardaga by-elections. The poll is slated to be held on December 14 and the counting will take place on December 17.
“Since Neeru Shanti Bhagat has been formally announced as an NDA candidate for the bye polls, I appeal to the people of lohardaga to vote for her with the same confidence and trust they had shown towards her husband KK Bhagat during the last Assembly elections,” said Rai after the formal meeting held for this purpose on Sunday.
Ensuring that the party will extend all its support to NDA candidate during the elections, Rai further added that the alliance will go to the election with double strength so that its candidate registers its victory.
AJSU chief Sudesh Mahto also appealed to the people of lohardaga to show same confidence towards NDA candidate what they had shown ten months back during the Jharkhand Assembly elections.
lJP chief on the other hand, said that his party workers will take the bye election as a challenge and also assured that he will himself camp in lohardaga to make their candidate win during the polls.
later, a meeting of alliance partners of NDA took place at the residence of Sudesh Mahto where a discussion took place to chalk out a plan to make its candidate Neeru Shanti Bhagat win the poll. A co-ordination committee was also formed during the meeting which will co-ordinate between the party leaders during the elections, paving the way for the victory of its candidate.
