National council for teachers’ education, east zone wing, Bhuvneshwar, has de-recognized four more B.Ed. colleges running under Vinoba Bhave University.
The executive committee of NCTE Bhuvaneshwar has taken this decision in its meeting held on 9th September and posted it on its website on Thursday. The four colleges who had been derecognized are
St. Columba’s College, Hazaribagh, Giridih College, Giridih, BS City College, Bokaro, and SSlNTM College, Dhanbad. The cause of de-recognition has been given as lack of infrastructure and teaching staffs. In the start of this month VBU administration had made some appointments in B.Ed colleges and had sent the information and reply on other queries to NCTE. It seems that the members of NCTE were not satisfied by the answer given by VBU administration. From next session (2015-16) the B.Ed units of these colleges will not run.
