NCPCR notice to DC on  education extension fee realised by Pvt School

Published on:

As the controversy is on rise over realization of education extension fees being realised by Carmel School here the National commission For protection of Child Right  (CPCR) has issued a notice to DC Dhanbad on this issue and has sought a report .

It's worth mentioning that  parents here are up in arms against realisation of the education extension fee by Carmel School despite the directive of the district fee fixation committee(DFFC) to adjust  it in monthly tuition fee.

The ongoing dispute once again came to fore while the school management sent whatsapp messages to parents of wards to clear the dues of  annual fee of Rs 6000  being realised in the head of education extension fee mentioned in fee book. Several parents   had stopped payment of the said fee terming it violation of government orders including the RTE Act 2009.

One of the parents, Madhurendra Singh said ,"It violates guidelines issued by the District education officer who also is secretary of DFFC".  Terming it to be an excess burden on parents  Singh claims that  students were being targeted in class by teachers  this also is mental torture to students of this school.

Singh had  written to state HRD  minister  besides, DC Dhanbad who is ex officio chairman of DFFC, NationalCommission for Child Rights, CM Jharkhand, regional director of education besides others against violation of government guidelines on this issue.

Now the DC Dhanbad  has been asked to inquire into the facts of the matter and report to the commission within a specified period.
