A massive rally was held here in Daltonganj today by the leaders and workers of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) under the command of its State president Kamlesh Kumar Singh a former Minister of the State.

Hundreds of people reached Daltonganj by train from Japla railway station while hundreds reached by road covering a conservative distance of 78 to 90 kilometers as there were a large number of people coming here from the interiors of Hussainabad. The gathering was in the range of 3000 to 4000 people.

Sources said the huge turnout of the poor, downtrodden and even urban people in this NCP’s rally here today has widened the eyes of the much consolidated political parties like BJP, Congress and even JMM making them feel the heat and preparation of the NCP far away in Hussainabad..

Sources said there was such a rush of people at Bees Futta Bridge where police had to monitor the traffic. Officer in charge of Town police station Anand K Mishra said adequate cops have been deputed to ensure smooth traffic .

Sources said in the last five years this was a great political show of NCP’s Kamlesh K Singh in Daltonganj as this man continue to hold such shows back in his home town Hussainabad but in Daltonganj today he made every political person believe that his political charisma is still most vibrant.

People like him even his political critic saying this Singh is no turn coat and has not changed the floor for any political gain but is with NCP since more than two and a half decades. Sources said the show is seen as a fore runner to the assembly election and also to prove beyond doubt that Kamlesh K Singh’s grip over his people is intact.  Surinder and Karamkar who came from Haidernnagar’s villages said they have come on their own without waiting for any assistance from netaji.

Kamlesh’s great political aide Nitu Singh said “ There is such a big crowd outside the venue waiting since the venue set up near the education office field has proved shorter for the volume of the crowd.”Speaking to the Kamlesh K Singh NCP leader said, “We want up gradation of Hussainabad as district. It fulfills all the criteria. It has 59 panchayats falling in blocks like Hussainabad, Haidernagar, Mohammadganj, Harihurganj and Pipra. There is fairly a sound population of SC people and tribal too live here.” He said, “This is our long pending demand and one should not think it to be any poll plank. We have been crying for a ew district in Hussainabad.

Similarly he said Harihurganj block be upgraded to become a sub divisional office. Harihurganj is too important a block of Jharkhand’s Palamu as it is barely steps away from Bihar.”This NCP chief here touched the core issues like drought in Palamu, bad condition of electricity, poor irrigation facility, non issuance of ration cards,  non inclusion of genuine people in pension fold, raw treatment to para teachers.
