Naxals allegedly killed a youth at Badro forest area in Giridih district for being a police informer, police sources said on Tuesday. The victim identified as Ajay Mahto (25) who was a resident of Jamua kurkuri village under Pirtard police. He was killed with sharp-edged weapons at his native place, SDPO Manish Toppo said.
As per preliminary information a group of Naxals stormed into Badro forest area located around 25 kms from district headquarters and dragged the victim out from his motorcycle when he was on way to his home before killing him on the spot, the SDPO said.
Soon after getting an alert security forces were dispatched to the place to recover his body. The body is being brought for the post motem. The police have also recovered the pamphlets from the spot.
