The Hussainabad Police of Palamau on Saturday seized a couple of posters, purportedly put up by the Maoists, threatening former DGP Vishnu Dayal Ram. Ram has joined the BJP and is on a people contact mission in Palamau, Garhwa.
Hussainabad Deputy SP Rahuldeo Baraik said veracity of the poster and its contents needed to be verified before they took any action in the case. He added that they were not sure whether the posters were truly put up by the Naxals, meaning business, or whether it was just the work of miscreants trying to create sensation.
The Deputy SP also pointed out that no ‘zone’ had been mentioned, which is generally a must with the Maoists while taking credit. The poster has been written by hand in Hindi using red and green inks. It warns those who support him and the general public not to fall into the BJP’s trap. The poster mentions that Ram will meet his fate at a Jan Adalat.
