The National Service Scheme (NSS) marked National Youth Day at the University Law College under the guidance of Rashmi Pradhan, who assumed the role of Acting Principal. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by NSS Coordinator, Dr. Laxmi Singh, who delved into the significance of the day, commemorating Swami Vivekananda's birth on January 12, 1863, in Kolkata.
Dr. Singh emphasized the brevity of Swami Vivekananda's life, spanning only 39 years but leaving an indelible mark on history. She underscored the relevance of his teachings, which continue to inspire and guide the youth. Rashmi Pradhan, in her role as Acting Principal, emphasized the pivotal role of the youth in advancing the heritage and development of the nation.
Highlighting the potential consequences of a misguided youth, Pradhan cautioned against the detrimental impact on a nation's destiny. She stressed the importance of harnessing the untamed energy of the youth and directing it towards positive endeavors for national progress.
She highlighted this year's Youth Day theme, 'It's All in the Mind,' encourages a proactive mindset, empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Bharat Mishra urged the youth to embrace the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and design their destinies accordingly.
Various participants, including students like Purushottam Kumar, Abhishek Basant, Shubham Jaya Jasvant, and Vikas, contributed to the occasion with eloquent speeches. Chittaranjan Kiskota and a large number of students from different backgrounds added vibrancy to the event. The celebration aimed not only to honor Swami Vivekananda's legacy but also to motivate and guide the youth towards a brighter future.
