The National lok Adalat will now be held in two phases in Daltonganj. The first phase is to be organised as per the announced date of December 6. The second phase of the National lok Adalat will be organised on January 10, 2015.

Sources said the member-secretary, SK Dubey (principal district judge), Nyaya Sadan, Ranchi, has in a letter to all the principal district judges-cum-chairmen of district legal services authority, principal judicial commissioner-cum-chairman DlSA, Ranchi, and secretaries of SDlSC Rajmahal, Tenughat, Ghatshila communicated about the bifurcation of the National lok Adalat sittings. The National lok Adalat is being organised in two phases in view of the ongoing Assembly election in the state.

The missive read that the executive chairman of JHAlSA Justice DN Patel has accorded approval to the two-phase National lok Adalat. The Pioneer managed to access the letter of member-secretary SK Dubey. At the December 6 National lok Adalat such matters will be taken up where no model code of conduct will be applicable. Others will be taken up at the second phase on January 10, 2015, said the secretary DlSA, Palamu, Uttam Anand. Uttam Anand is a senior civil judge too.

Sources said under lok Adalats some fiscal benefits are doled out under social security schemes and this stands in way of the model code of conduct.  Uttam Anand expressed hope that the second phase National lok Adalat would be now far more accessible and beneficial to the people here. Sources said the DRM East Central Railway Dhanbad was invited for a meeting by the secretary DlSA but in vain.
