Narayana Health on Sunday announced the launch of its heart centre at KM Memorial Hospital, Bokaro. The heart centre managed by Narayana Health will lend expertise of heart specialists from Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital in Jamshedpur to KM Memorial Hospital, Bokaro. The Heart Centre is part of Narayana Health’s larger initiative of making quality healthcare accessible to more number of people in Jharkhand.
Deepak Venugopalan, zonal director (East), Narayana Health, said, “Heart Centre is a concept of Narayana Health to provide its expertise to another Multispecialty Hospital in the field of Cardiology. It gives us immense pleasure to be associated with KM Memorial Hospital to manage the Heart Centre. He further added, “With the launch of this heart centre we aim to be accessible to residents of Bokaro and adjoining towns.”

The Heart Centre is equipped to offer services for outpatients and inpatients services. Non-invasive procedures such as ECG, TMT/ stress test, Dobutamine stress test, echo cardiography, Holter monitoring is being offered to outpatients.
Invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, radio frequency ablation, pacemaker implantation, device closures are being offered to inpatients. Only Cardiac surgeries will be undertaken at Brahmananda Narayana Multispecialty Hospital, Jamshedpur.
Narayana Heart Centre at KM Memorial Hospital will have a team of consultants from Brahmananda Narayana Multispecialty Hospital who would be responsible to provide expertise.
The team comprises of Dr. Bimlendu Kumar - Consultant Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Abhay Krishna - Consultant- Interventional Cardiology Dr. Indrani Syam, Consultant- Interventional Cardiology, Dr Pankaj Kumar Gupta – Consultant - Paediatric Cardiology and consultation with Dr. Perwaiz Alam, Senior Consultant - Cardiac Surgeon.
