On the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers, since no one withdrew his papers, finally 20 candidates have been left in the battlefield of Chatra parliamentary constituency. The election is different in Chatra in a sense that this time neither the last time winner independent Inder Singh Naamdhari nor the candidate of nearest rival party RJD is in the fray.
Congress has shown faith in upper house MP Dheeraj Sahu who was also in the fray last time. He was on third position close to the RJD candidate. BJP has fielded Sunil Singh, a new face for Chatra parliamentary constituency.
Old warrior Nagmani is once again in the battlefield of Chatra and as usual on the ticket of a new party which is AJSU party this time.JD(U) has changed the candidate and this time Mahesh Yadav is Nitish’s sepoy at Chatra.
Babulal Marandi has given ticket to District Board President Neelam Devi while Kishwar Yadav is Mulayam’s candidate here and Seema Chaurasiya is in the field with AAP’s cap. On paper this time Congress candidate Dheeraj Sahu looks to be in better position. The denizens of Chatra parliamentary constituency accept that Sahu has always remained in touch of his area and has spent a huge portion of his MP lad in this constituency.
So the ‘hand’ seems to be in upper position here. BJP’s Sunil Singh is a new face, the workers and supporters are banking on NaMo’s wave and they are saying that after NaMo’s visit on 27th the scenario will change. However everyone is accepting that party rebel Sudhanshu Suman is going to damage the candidate here.
Three Yadavas (Mahesh, Kishwar and Neelam), Naagmani and Seema Chaurasiya are trying hard to come in the main contest and for it everyone is eyeing on the blessings of outgoing MP Inder Singh Naamdhari. Sources said that Dheeraj Sahu and some other candidates have already met and prayed for his blessings but Naamdhari has yet not opened his cards.
In Chatra everyone is waiting for Narendra Modi’s public meeting. Everyone accepts that the scene will change after his visit. Besides NaMo’s visit Naamdhari’s blessings and role of naxal organizations MCC, JPC and TPC will play an important role in deciding the fate of the warriors of Chatra battlefield.
