After a brief lull since the ‘Vijay Sankalp’ Rally, the supporters of the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi tried to reignite the passion for Modi through their kites — carrying the images of Modi — at the Namo Patang Mahotsav.

By flying a Modi-impressioned kite, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev inaugurated the Mahotsav. People from different walks of life flocked the venue since morning to witness  Modi’s kites soaring high on the sky. A local resident Mohammad Talib who is skilled in this art designed 500 Modi imprinted kites for the occasion. Moreover, 5,000 kites carrying picture of Baba Ramdev and Social Activist Anna Hazare has been brought from Ahmadabad.

Applauding the people’s active participation in the Mahotsav Baba Ramdev said, “The kite of Narendra Modi will fly high on the sky leaving behind the kites of other rival  parties. He is an exemplary candidate for the Prime Minister post and it is fixed that under his guidance the country will develop.”

The State capital’s sky was outlined with Modi’s kites which children were enthusiastically flying rather high. A small boy Santosh — looking at Modi’s picture on his kite  —instantly said, Inko to maine Vijay Sankalp Rally mai dekha tha (I have seen him in the Vijay sankalp rally).

Meanwhile, Baba Ramdev also inaugurated a 40 second Namo ringtone designed by a local musician-cum-composer Rohan Pathak. “The composition of the ringtone was completed within a day,” said Pathak.

Meanwhile, Ranchi MlA CP Singh and Former Deputy Chief Minister (CM) Raghuwar Das was also present on the occasion. Ranchi MP CP Singh extending his best wishes said, “It is high time now to free our country from the clutches of corrupt politicians and make country a better place to live.”

Member of the Jharkhand Namo Mantra Poonam Anand said, “Narendra Modi’s popularity can be seen with the presence of the people here. On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti Namo members will distribute the Modi’s kite among the children across the city.” Interestingly, this festival was the first major celebration after Narendra Modi’s Vijay Sankalap Rally which was held on December 29.
