Former Chatra MP Inder Singh Namdhari, talking to media persons in Ranchi, has accepted that although he had a very brief introduction with Ranjeet Singh Kohli, he had asked to help Praveen Chand Pathak, who was undergoing life imprisonment regarding a murder case against him, in obtaining parole from the court. Namdhari said, it was done in good faith in order to help Pathak's family in getting out of the problems faced by them on the front of health and family matters, but the media has shifted the matter to another direction.
According to Namdhari, he had been introduced by one of his childhood friends AD Pandey, who also happens to be Kohli's landlord. Kohli later visited his places at Daltonganj and Delhi residences some three four times. Namdhari accepted that he had also gone to Kohli's house and met his mother who wished him 'Sat Shri Akal' in Panjabi. He however, said he had no idea about his leanings towards Islam. "It is sheer double standard if he has done this which is really shameful and condemnable," Namdhari said. Media is projecting the matter in a different way, he alleged.
