NAAC team visits GLA College

Published on:

A three-member peer team of NAAC recently assessed and evaluated GLA college under Nilamber Pitamber University after six years or so.

Sources said the preparations for the NAAC grading of this college had started when Nilamber Pitamber university had A N Ojha as its vice chancellor.

Sources said the then VC Ojha was bogged down in many trifle issues then as part of the diversionary tactics of the vested interests.

There came another VC S N Singh whose three years tenure could not see this college getting any grade by NAAC despite his best of efforts.

Sources said the present VC Ram Lakhan Singh and his team got it done finally in this ongoing month of February.

Sources said it was like a perish or prosper choice for this GLA college to get NAAC grading as the lack of it could have led to drying up of the funds for this college.

Sources said the VC who knows the art of keeping himself away and safe from the battery of newsmen just stole the show when the GLA college was so assessed and evaluated by the NAAC.

Sources said the Singh worked with patience and his team didn't betray him at all.

The peer team was led by Sheila Stephen vice chancellor of Tamil Nadu physical education and sports university Chennai.

The two other members of the peer team were M Shirsat of Maharashtra and Neerja A Gupta of Gujarat.

The college had a massive touch up for the evaluation and assessment.

A senior teacher of the physics department R K Jha who is the coordinator of the IQAC said the college got ready a cricket net for practice. Courts for badminton, volleyball etc were set up. The GLA college library too got a new lease of freshness.
