Continuing the rich legacy of modern art work, Bharatiya Yuvak Sangh, popularly known as Bakri Bazaar pandal among the Ranchi-ites, will enthral the pandal hoppers with the Southern India notable and one of the finest examples of modern architecture, Mysore Palace. To create the similar ambiance, this unique pandal will be decked with approximately 25,000 bulbs.
The puja pandal will mesmerise visitors with its vibrant and enormous presentation. Famous for inimitable themes since decades, the puja pandal at Bakri Bazaar witnesses huge footfall from the city as well as from the adjoining areas.
Blend of miniature ethnic art work with modern artifacts will mesmerise the visitors especially art lovers. According to the Bhartiya Yuvak Sangh puja committee member, the interior decoration is little different from the Southern art format and is the blend of different art, cultures and outward appearances.
From electrification to creative task, all the basic work is being carried out on the pandal premises itself. With as many as 100 creative hands involved in this inventive venture, they are leaving no stones unturned to complete the work in a designated timeframe. Biodegradable materials like thermocol, fiber and wood are being used by artists and labourers.
“All art works are being completed on thermocol, fiber and wooden stuffs. Rest fancy decorative materials will be used specially for interior decoration later. People will also get to see few dying art forms in the pandal. Artisans working on the premises of puja pandal here promote the importance of small scale industries in this modern era including the rich colourful tradition of various art works,” said, a member of Bharatiya Yuvak Sangh, Rahul Agarwal.
last year, the idol of Goddess Durga put up at Bakri Bazaar measured over 35 ft, which was probably the tallest idols put up by any puja pandal in the city. This year too giving aesthetic touch to the idols, all the idols is being decorated keeping the concept of Gandhara fine art intermingling it with tribal knack. “This year all idols measures approximately 35 ft to match the artistic settings. This year a little creative twist is being given to idols design for all fresh look. However, the traditional essence will be there in the design,” added Agarwal.
On the other hand, entertainment rides and numerous food stalls are other major crowd-pullers here. located in one of the prime spot, security is a major concern beside entertainment sections and puja rituals for committee members.
“Entertainment themes is being figured out. Till date nothing has been finalized on this. For security aspects, we have decided to deploy more women personnel to aid females. As the area is big 4 small enquiry counters will be made for the convenience of visitors. More than 15 CCTV cameras will keep a tab on teeming crowd,” Agarwal said.
