The Peterwar police recovered a mutilated body from Khajo river on Sunday.Police said the body, identified as that of 22-year-old Vinod Singh alias Guddu Singh, a resident of Virhor-bera village under Pichari panchayat was found in the forest at Khajo river in Petarwar block.
The body bore injury marks on the head and others parts of the body. Family sources said that Vinod had gone out for bath in the morning. But when he did not return till late evening, family members started search for him, only to find his abandoned body barely at a distance of about two hundred meters from his house. The Peterwar police have registered a case of UD and investigations are on.
