AJSU Party chief and former Deputy CM Sudesh Kumar Mahto on Thursday said that the Muslim society is fighting a battle of security, recognition and self-respect today and this is a big challenge for all of them. “We do not need anybody’s permission in the country for our recognition. We have to find out who is trying to spread fear and delusion,” said Mahto addressing people during Akhil Jharkhand Muslim Mahasabha organized here on Thursday.

Addressing a huge gathering at Maithon Hall in Ranchi Mahto said that one has to sacrifice for leadership. “You have to decide whether a society with 14 per cent population will remain a beggar or a donor. Our recognition is today as a demanding society and we have to make it a commanding society. It depends on your aspirations as to what you want. If situation is not favourable you have power to make it favourable. This is just a beginning. We have to make 2,500 leaders from this society who would change the nature of politics in the State,” said Sudesh.

The meeting was attended by representatives from all blocks of the State. The condition and orientation of Muslim community members in the present political scenario of the State was discussed in the meeting.

Ajsu Party MlA and Water Resources Minister CP Chaudhary said on the occasion that today politics was being done in the name of caste and religion. Minorities are holding the power at many places. “We need numbers at the Assembly to put up our points so we have to ensure that the numbers rise in the Assembly,”  he added.

Party Spokesperson Dr Deosharan Bhagat, vice president Md Hasan Ansari, Principal General Secretary Umakant Rajak, General Secretary Roshan lal Chaudhary, ex-DIG Subodh Prasad, Ex- VC Dr Sheen Akhtar, among many

others addressed the gathering attended by people from all 24 districts.  Several new members joined the party on the occasion.
