The board of Hazaribagh Municipal Council has accepted the proposal to run the late Nirmal Mahto Park situated near Circuit House. This park was created by forest department but ever since its inauguration the department had been facing problems in properly running and maintaining this park.
The board of municipal council met on Friday evening in the chairmanship of Anjali Kumari and in this meeting several other decisions regarding special cleanliness drive of ponds, town and water reservoirs ahead of Diwali and Chhath Puja were also taken. Drive to make the water reservoirs clean begin from today.
In this meeting the members raised the problem of mosquitoes in their area and demanded special fogging drive. It was decided that with fogging the municipal council will also spray chemicals in drains and the water logging spots to kill mosquitoes which causes malaria.
About half dozen ward councilors tried to raise personal problems in the meeting and when it was not allowed by the house they walked out of the meeting hall. Since other members stayed in the hall then the meeting proceeded in which the matter of Nirmal Mahto Park was discussed and it was decided that initially council itself will run it then will make some other arrangement.
