JVM chief denies, KP Sharma group merges with BJP

Calling it the need of the hour, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda on Wednesday appealed to JVM Chief Babulal Marandi also to get into the BJP fold along with other party legislators and workers and contribute to the development of the state. Munda was speaking on the occasion of merger of KP Sharma group of the JVM with four MlAs into the saffron fold. Marandi however, calling himself a son of a farmer and not of a businessman, turned down Munda’s invitation.

“I would like to appeal to those leaders who are left in the JVM including Babulal Marandi to come and move together and contribute positively in making India a prosperous country on the world map,” said Munda. Everyone will have to move together in a single direction if we want to be the world leaders, he added.

“Our completion is not within the state, nor within the Country but our competition is with the world to re-establish our 5000 year old culture in this country which would only be possible if we make our villages, our states and our country more prosperous,” Munda said.

Congratulating Sharma for coming together along with other legislators with the BJP, Munda said that all must have the courage to move together in order to achieve the larger goal. Central Committee president of the break away faction of JVM, Sharma along with the party legislators Samresh Singh, Chandrika Mahtha, Phoolchand Mandal and Nirbhay Shahbadi along with their supporters joined the BJP on Wednesday.

Calling his induction into the saffron brigade as political recruitment, Sharma said that the party which impedes upon it is destined to get finished. “Jharkhand needs a development oriented think tank which can take this state on the right tracks of development,” said Sharma.  Jharkhand as well as India is a victim of individual politics and nepotism, he added.

Sharma also claimed that if the people are mobilized in the right direction as was done during the lok Sabha elections, no one can prevent BJP of getting complete majority in the coming Assembly elections.

Calling it a return to his old home, Bokaro MlA Samresh Singh appealed to the people of this state that the party needs only 55 seats for creating history. “We are committed to convert this state into ‘Indraprastha’ within five years if given a chance, for which we will put all our efforts,” he added. The whole nation is moving in a single direction, Jharkhand also needs to move shoulder to shoulder along with it, he added.

Election in-charge of Jharkhand Bhupinder Yadav said on the occasion that those who looted Jharkhand along with the nation are on the verge of collapse. “Congress party along with the other parties in its fold have backstabbed on the expectations and aspirations of the people of Jharkhand and the country,” said Yadav.
