The Palamu unit of the BJP held its active workers meet in Town Hall on Sunday, which overflowed with partymen. The reason was the attendence of former Chief Minister Arjun Munda along with former DGP Vishnu Dayal Ram, besides many other leaders.
At the meeting, Munda called on the workers to remove the Congress-led UPA Government in the upcoming general elections. The workers meet on Sunday saw younger generation in large numbers taking part. Arjun Munda also demaded that from the State Government to declare Palamau a drought-hit district as the ground situation is horrifying. The Government is delaying decision he said.
For the State he also wanted special package and said it is being downplayed as the Congress is measuring its political profit before doing any thing in this regard. Munda spoke about the many illegal Bangladeshi immigrants that find their way into Jharkhand, again highlighting the fact that special circumstances call for special status tag from the Centre.
On a sad note Munda said his tenure was clipped in mid way through a conspiracy without naming anyone for it. The former CM did not miss to politically tease his adversary and Daltonganj MlA KN Tripthy whom he described as ' Becharey' ( a poor fellow) as Munda admitted he was the strong contender for a berth in the cabinet but he did not get seat.
The leader asked party workers to perform post death ritual for the UPA II government in the country. He also rued that linking of Palamu to Hatia Grid is still pending and even in the President's Rule nothing tangible wasdone on this front.
