Despite several challenges like Monsoon and overflowing rivers the Measles Rubella vaccination campaign is going on in full pace, stated a communiqué by the Health Department. ANM, Sahiya and other field staff deputed for the campaign are reaching out to the far flung areas and vaccinating the children, it said.

Principal Secretary of Health Department Nidhi Khare has been monitoring the campaign and is in direct contact with the officials. She has been giving instructions and applauding the good work of the department employees, said the communiqué.  Khare praised the efforts of ANM Shyama Kumari and Sahiya Anita Devi of Simariya Block of Chatra district for working on adverse conditions crossing an overflowing river for their work.

Khare said department officials are working in full pace for the campaign. “There is a decline in MMR diue to consolidated efforts of the health department officials and workers — a feat that has been applauded by the Centre. We have been successful in improving the condition of hospitals. In the field of vaccination also the situation of Jharkhand has improved. We are doing positive work to make Jharkhand number one in health services,” she said.
