He also underlined corruption as the major challenge before the nation and role of Modi in dealing with it,” said a party functionary.

Choudhary, in an effort to reach out to intellectuals, also highlighted significant parts of the party’s manifesto and at the same time charged the Congress-led UPA Government at the helm for a decade for degrading the posts of prime minister and council of ministers.

“That is the reason why Modi wave is prevailing so strongly throughout the country,” said the BJP candidate. Congress’ Subodh Kant Sahai kept himself busy in booth management and remained in a huddle with the leaders of the coalition partners and of the booth level, block level and panchayat level workers. He also stressed on more number of people coming out to vote. Sahai in his last minute public consultation visited Dhurwa, Hatia, Hinoo, Doranda, Hindpiri, Chutia and Morhabadi and held small gatherings with the voters.

AJSU chief and party’s candidate for the constituency Sudesh Mahto was instead found relaxing at his home at Silli but kept a close look on the last minute preparations being done by the workers.

He also heard the problems faced by the workers in the field and assured to resolve them. Sudesh also ensured that the motivation level of his party workers is maintained till the end of the polling day. According to Sudesh, the party has propagated the messages to the voters and now it is their turn to decide it by voting for the AJSU.

On the other, JVM candidate Amitabh Choudhary started his door to door campaign from Chuttupalu and continued the exercise in Bariatu, Kantatoli and Hatia. On the last day of campaigning the IPS turned politician launched campaign early in the morning and met voters to woo them. Choudhary who is battling against Modi factor and caste equations appealed for votes on his clean image and works done for the city as an officer towards restoring safety and security of Ranchiites. “I appeal to choose the best option, choose the best candidate,” said Choudhary.
