State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo on Friday said that the Narendra Modi government at Centre and Raghubar Das Government at State have done immense work to make farmers self-reliant, while the Opposition in the name of farmers has done only politics since Independence.
Pratul said that the amount received from the Centre and State under two farmers’ schemes will make Annadata (farmers) self-sufficient and they will free from the clutches of Mahajans (moneylenders).
Pratul said that since Independence, farmers became debtors due to Congress Government’s wrong farmers’ policy leading them to even commit suicide. Initiatives were taken for the prosperity of farmers after 2014.
On 10 August 2019, under the Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana, an amount of Rs 482 crore was transferred to 13.60 lakh farmers in their account. Today again, the Raghubar Das’ Government transferred an amount of Rs 452 crore in the account of 11.51 lakh farmers, who were left out of the scheme.
The BJP spokesperson said that Raghubar Government will transfer 25 per cent of the second installment of Krishi Ashirwad Yojana to the farmers of the State before Deepawali and third installment too will also be transferred by end of this year.
The State Government will provide Rs 3000 crore rupees in the account of 35 lakh farmers of the State by end of this year.
Shahdeo said that the Mukhyamantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana clearly shows the vision of Chief Minister Raghubar Das towards farmers’ uplift. Pratul said that tribal and moolvasi of State will get the maximum benefit of Krishi Ashirwad Yojana.
The State Government is committed for the development of these groups.
The BJP leader said that that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress had used farmers as vote banks, but Raghubar Das’ Government has taken a historic step brining them with the mainstream so that they can enjoy the fruits of development.
