In a novel way to facilitate education amongst the children of Government schools in Seraikela- Kharsawan district, Jusco, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Tata Steel launched a Mobile Book Bank at the new colony upgraded high school at Adityapur.
The Block Education Officer Chitrarekha Devi was the chief guest on the occasion among other present were Preeti Sehgal, CS & Chief CSR, JUSCO, J P Pandey, N C Mahato, SK Imamullah of JUSCO CSR team, Nirmal Karmakar and D Singha from Power Services Division.Under this service, the company plans to reach students at the respective schools and provide books of academic interest as well as other books. A librarian will visit schools at a fixed schedule and issue books to the students. Jusco will also distribute the books donated by Rotary through this initiative. The aim behind is to inculcate culture and environment for reading and facilitate it through books.
