Scores of boys and girls of the Medinirai medical college at Pokhraha in Daltonganj took out a candle march in profound memory of their late senior Madhan Kumar M on Saturday evening.

The partially charred body of Madhan  was found behind a hostel at the RIMS Ranchi premise a few days ago.

His death is shrouded in mystery. Police are investigating it from both the angles suicide or murder.

This correspondent spoke to the senior SP Ranchi Chandan Kumar Sinha to know the progress of the investigation.

According to the senior SP Ranchi "Police have discovered foot prints at the place of occurrence . It is of the uni lateral direction. There is no return foot prints on the roof. It goes to prove the footprints are of just one man. There is no sign of other foot prints of any other man."

SSP Ranchi further said "The deceased had moved in just one direction. He put himself afire. He jumped from the roof. Had there been any other man there involved in the crime, that man would have retreated and his return footprints would have been there which is not there at all on the roof."

On being asked if there was any container for fuel to cause burning SSP Ranchi said "We did find highly melted residue of a container. It must be of the fuel".

The FSL team had collected the residues /left overs there.

No suicidal note of Madhan either digital like whatsapp or facebook or instagram etc or in hand writing has been found.

The deceased was a warm emotional fellow reminded the SSP Ranchi.

The deceased was doing post graduate course in FMT which is forensic medicine and toxicology. Madhan hailed from Tamil Nadu.

The medicos were silent but the placards that they held in their hands reflected  their pain, suffering, anguish and frustration. Their faces were calm but there was a storm of emotions raging their hearts.

Some of the placards that they held in their hands read 'Doctors can't save you if they are dead' 'Don't hurt the healing hands' etc.

A dedicated medico Sripiryadarshini told this correspondent late Saturday night "We are deeply distressed to hear the tragic end of a young budding doctor Madhan. The society lost a healer. The state government must act and find out as to how this gory incident happened."

The medicos of the MMCH Daltonganj did not hit the streets of the town Daltonganj which is 7 kms away from the medical college.

The medicos took out the candle march right on their campus itself which is an example of their very disciplined form of protest.

A faculty member of the MMCH Daltonganj Dr Atul Prakash said "We mourn the loss of Madhan. Our boys and girls here have expressed their sorrow and grief over this loss of Madhan. We stand with the bereaved family in this hour of their great tragedy."
