Chhaterpur BJP MlA Radha Krishan Kishore giving a big hand to police, has given three CCTV cameras to two police stations in his Assembly constituency. Sources said Kishore thus became the first such MlA in Palamu to gift CCTV cameras to police.
Out of the three CCTV cameras two will be installed in Chatterpur. The remaining one will be installed in Paton. Chhaterpur and Paton are the two police stations falling in his Assembly constituency, Chatterpur Vidhan Sabha.
Kishore said, one CCTV will be installed at Sarideeh More, while the other one at Japla More in Chatterpur police station. Kishore said in Paton police station, one CCTV will be installed at Paton Bazar chowk.
He said he has released Rs 6 lakhs out of his MlA quota for the entire cost of this equipment including its installation. DSP Chhaterpur Sanjay Kumar welcoming this gesture of the MlA said public had petitioned the police for installation of CCTV cameras in Chatterpur.
And accordingly the petition was forwarded to SP Palamu Indrajeet Mahatha who then took up this issue with the MlA .
DSP further said the installation of CCTV cameras would be done very shortly. He said it will help check eve teasing, crime and other unlawful activities.
Kishore on the other hand said installation and functioning of CCTV cameras will further make the police more accountable and responsible to public and duty and then it will be difficult for the police to tender any excuse for inaction or delay in taking action.
Sources said the location of sole cctv at Paton Bazar chowk is quite strategic as it’s the nerve centre of this police station Paton.
Sources said Kishore has earlier given an lED tv set with dth facility at a forward security post at a very remote place Kooh Kooh. Jawans and officials of this security post find this gift of this MlA too valuable as this lED is the only thing that keeps the security forces abreast of the happenings in the country.
